Most offer to register your domain name for you with their package. You should always own your own domain name. Do not use a free domain name. Many sites such as Geocities, or Yahoo will offer you a free domain name, but it does not belong to you. It just doesn't make any sense to spend months or even years building name recognition for your site, only to lose the domain name if the company who owns it changes policy, or goes out of business. You can register a domain name for as little as $8.88 per year. Domain names need to be reregistered every year

#5 Content for your Website

Content is King. Remember this when building your site. People browse the net for information, and you must have good content to attract and keep the attention of people visiting your site. Fill your pages with interesting content about your websites subject. If your website is about shopping, than write about things that pertain to shopping. There are a lot of ways to get good ratings on search engines, and you should read everything you can find to get advise, but the most important thing to remember is you need to link to other websites. You can make your own link directory, but it is difficult, and you’re a lot better off with a professionally made one. One of the best on the market is Zeus. What Is Your Motivation - Goal Setting For Your Home Business

If you are a home based business owner probably the largest obstacle you must overcome is finding motivation. You work at home and need to get online to work on your website, marketing, research, etc. But there are many other things going on that vie for your time. What do you do to ensure you are devoting adequate time to your home based business?

My main tool for motivation in my home based business is goal setting. This takes some planning, but if you spend a little time you can develop challenging, yet attainable goals. Why set goals? Goal setting allows you to determine where you want to go with your business. Setting targets gives you a basis for creating a defined plan and to identify those activities that are non-value added.

Goal setting is an activity used by successful business people, top level athletes, students and high achievers in all walks of life. Setting a goal and then reaching that goal gives a great sense of satisfaction and accomplishment.

There are several types of goals. You first establish your long term goals. These could be set for three to five years out. Profitability, net annual income, increase in business volume, ROI, size of customer base could all be used for long term goals.

Next is the creation of medium term goals related to the long term goals. These would be in the one to three year range. This is followed by short term goals that you want to achieve in the next several months. Finally, you develop an action plan that will lead to meeting the short, medium and long term goals.

The lifeblood of an online home based business is visitors to your website. So one of the goals should relate to how many visitors you are getting. Granted, there are ways to generate thousands of hits, so the goal must reflect "targeted" visitors. If you are new to online marketing you can set a smaller target. Set goals for one month, three months and one year. When you have met your 1 month target reevaluate the longer term goals and adjust them if necessary. Just be sure to validate or revise your action plan to keep moving toward the next target.

If you are not meeting your goals review the steps you are taking. Look for new and creative ways to market your home based business web page. Don't limit yourself to online marketing. Business cards, newspaper ads, flyers, etc. are all great options.

If your home based business offers a product the goal could be obtaining a certain number of orders per week or per day. It could be sales or unit volumes. If you are an affiliate marketer your goal could be recruiting a certain number of affiliates per day or increase in your downline.

Once you have generated an adequate quantity of data, i.e., unique visitors per day and units of product sold, you can determine how much you sell per unique visitor. A new goal could be to increase the sales per visitor.

Make sure your goals have a time aspect, such as 500 visitors daily by the end of the next three months.

Setting achievable goals and then attaining them is a great motivator for a home based business owner. Once you get in the habit of setting and reaching goals your enthusiasm for your home based business will grow and your success will be assured.

However, nobody is telling you how to make these adsense sites profitable. Well I want to do that in this article.

Firstly, lets look at the obstacle you have to overcome before you can make your adsense sites profitable.

1.how to build hundreds of content sites in a very short amount of time.

2.how to name your sites and not attract the attention of the search engines.

3.how to host your adsense sites and not attract the special attention of the search engines.

4.New sites have to over come the Google sandbox phenemenon. You have to wait for your new adsense sites to be indexed,listed and appear in Google serps for you to even think of earning money from the sites. This could take anywhere from 3 to 4 months.

5.How do you get your sites indexed in the first place?. Submitting your sites using the Google submission page is outdated. Most major search engines now crawl sites from incoming links found in other sites. So how do you get links on other sites pointing to your sites.

6.How do you identify profitable keywords that you will use to build your sites?. You need high demand keywords to input in your sites to be able to generate the kind of clicks on your adsense ads that will bring in substancial amount of adsense revenue.

7.How do you make your new profitable keywords sites compete with the established sites?. Remember that profitable keywords are high demand keywords therefore, very hard to rank high in search engines.

8.How do you link your various sites so that you don't get into trouble with the searh engines?.

These are very important questions you will have to address before you can start dreaming of hugh adsense earnings fast. However, you can go the slow route and build good, unique content sites that will last longer and earn you revenue for long time even after adsense craze has died down. But this will take you years to do.

Now lets look at how you can build these profitable adsense sites fast. How you can overcome all the obstacles listed above. This is by no means a simple and easy tasks I tell you. But the reward is money,money and plent of adsense money. You will also need some tools that will make the job easier. These tools will be shown to you at the bottom of this article.

Firstly, you need a software that can build hundreds of your adsense sites fast using reprinted articles. The software should be able to fetch reprinted articles from article sites, format these articles and create pages using your own templates. It is important you use your own template because you don't want to look like everyother person using the same articles. However, if you don't want to use other peoples articles on your site, you can write them yourself (herculean tasks indeed if you have to build hundreds of sites), or you can hire ghost writers at www.elance.com to write these articles at very reasonable rates. You want the adsense ads to recognize your page for that one keyword so tha it delivers ads based on that one keyword. Use hyphen for your domain names. Register your domain names for at least 2 years so hat you do not raise a red flag for Google.

Host your sites on different hosts servers. This will aid you in your link structure. You are going to link your various sites in such a way that some sites receive many links than others. The ones with hundreds of incoming links are the money makers. There are very cheap web host. Do a search for "$1.99 hosting" and you will get them. There is the Google sandbox phenemenon. There is nothing you can do about that. Wait it out. Use the waiting time to write articles for your different sites, submitting your sites to directories, (here is a comprehensive list of article submission sites at, www.ebizstartups.com/article-submission-sites.html ), doing reciprocal linking, buying links(if you can) doing seo for your sites etc.

How do you identify profitable keywords? you can subscribe to some membership sites that research and offer these high demand ( profitable ) keywords to their members. Or if you want to do the research yourself, go to www.pixelfast.com/overture - ( a site that helps you see what folks are paying for ads on Overture ).

Armed with your high demand keywords, you then build not too many web sites with these keywords. These sites will be your money makers. But remember that it is difficult ranking high for these keywords at the free search engines. so you will build hundreds of sites with low demand keywords that are related to your high demand keywords and send traffic to your high demand keyword sites from your low demand keyword sites.

When you write articles,let the link in your resource box point to your low demand keywords sites. So that you can build link popularity fast and then link to your high demand keywords sites from your low demand keywords sites. This way you have hundreds of links pointing to your few high demand keywords sites. So you archieve two things by doing so. One , you send traffic to your high demand keywords site and two, you build the link popularity of your high demand keyword sites. This will enable these high demand keywords sites compete favorably with other sites at the free search engines.

To cap it all.

What you are doing is basically building sites that will funel traffic as well as one way links to your high demand keyword sites using some very good resources for building your sites fast and obtaining the latest profitable keywords fast. Note that there are others ways to do this. But this is the safest way without getting your websites banned from the search engines.

Want your website to have a better position on search engines? One way to bring up your rankings is to use Pay Per Click, which is a low-cost option for advertising your website that can not only increase traffic, but when done right, can give you a great return on your investment.

The basic premise of pay per click advertising is that you advertise on specific search engines by choosing specific keywords that, when searched, your site will appear. You determine how much you are willing to pay each time that someone clicks on your website. Logically, the more you are willing to pay, the higher your site will appear with the keywords you choose.

There are hundreds of search engines that offer pay per click options. Of course, the major search engines require more per click to get higher in the rankings, but many offer low cost pay per click opportunities. There are search engines based on themes where you may be able to hone in more directly to your type of business or you may look at the major search engines to go global. How much you invest and where you do pay per click is certainly up to you.

There is a ton of literature out there, so I wont even begin to make a list. But, keep this in mind when trying to pick out a book. To be highly successful, you need to be well rounded. You will want literature on all things from getting yourself into the right mindset to learning how to market. This takes time, but the knowledge gained will pay off in the end.

Do What They Do!

Simply put... find others in your business, or that are having the type of success you want to have and do what they do. This may be the best advice I ever received. If you align yourself with the right people, or study the processes of those you want to be like, success comes so much easier.

Take advantage of training calls

This is a close second for me to the one above. Sometimes they are even one in the same. Those that are doing the training calls for your business are most likely having great success. They are offering a great service to you. They are teaching you to do what they do without you even having to ask. You should be on every training call you can with your business. You never know when they will drop the next tip or idea that sets your business off.

Live and taped seminars

Live seminars can be costly, but the rewards could be huge for you. It's just another way that you can learn from the best and do what they do. A great substitute for live conferences are tapes/dvd's/cd's, etc. There are a ton of valuable audio programs out. One speaker that I always love to listen to and that has great ideas is Jim Rohn.

Magazines/publications

Like books, there are many. A few that I enjoy are:

"Home Business Advertiser" "The Network Marketing Business Journal" "Networking Times"

There are always great articles in these that can help with your personal and business development.

A few things to keep in mind:

- Be responsible for your own business. Don't expect anyone to do anything for you. Go get the things you want. Studying success will bring you closer to achieving success.

- Set goals and outlines of what you want to do daily and do them. At the end of the day, evaluate what you did and did not do. This keeps you accountable for your business.

- Acquiring knowledge is an ongoing process. Add tools, books, time, etc into your time and financial plans and continue to feed your mind with all things that will take you forward.

- Remember that any knowledge you gain through your studies is worthless unless you put it into action. All the knowledge in the world will not make you successful. Implementing this knowledge into a game plan will.
